Lauren Carboneau and Kate Date co-founded Tabor Design Group in 2022 to bring thoughtful design to affordable and permanent supportive housing. Based in Portland Oregon, they have known each other for years and met at a previous job designing high-end interior products typically purchased for people’s second-homes. After the pandemic they made the decision to start their own business that aligned more closely with their values while still doing the work they love- creating beautiful spaces. They believe there’s no reason that well-designed interiors should be reserved for market-rate housing alone.
